LAYFLAT POLYETHYLENE TUBING
Layflat polyethylene tubing is available in
many sizes and gauges. It is an economical
way to package or enclose items of almost any shape or length. Layflat poly
tubing comes
on rolls and can be cut to your exact size requirements with a scissors or
knife,
drawn over the object, and then the ends can be sealed like a poly bag, i.e.
with twist ties, a heat seal, staples, tape, etc. This product is ideal where
you have the same width but various lengths.
TO DETERMINE THE LAYFLAT WIDTH REQUIRED, TAKE THE DIAMETER OF THE OBJECT AT THE
WIDEST POINT AND MULTIPLY BY 1.57. THEN ROUND UP TO THE NEXT LARGEST TUBING
SIZE.
Add an inch or two if a loose fit is desired, or if you want the item to
slide easily into the tubing.
